We're rather chuffed with some of the elements we've introduced to the Treehouse to make it that little bit different. We hand-treated the upstairs cedar cladding with a Japanese treatment called Shou-Sugi-Ban, which uses fire to treat and preserve the wood. This enhances the grain and also protects it from the elements.

The feature wall behind the wood burning stove in the lounge is crafted from vintage red wine barrel staves, and the bookcase and windowsills are made from reclaimed flooring from a brick factory in Kentucky, USA. The kitchen unit was a hand-selected 1800's oak sideboard that we have lovingly restored and adapted into the piece you see today.
